We’re hearing rumors that Olympian Alex Karwoski will be Peloton’s new rowing instructor.
Alex has been a regular on the US National team, starting with the Under 23 in 2012. He was 2016 Olympian, and has been part of the senior team since. Alex was an alternate at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. In 2016, he narrowly missed an Olympic medal as the USA placed 4th in the eight at the 2016 Rio games.
Karwoski was named USRowing’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2019.
Among his other accomplishments, Alex finished fifth in the eight at the 2019 World Rowing Championships. He finished fifth in the four at the 2019 World Rowing Cup II. Alex placed fourth in the eight at the 2018 World Rowing Championships. He finished second in the eight at the 2017 World Rowing Championships.
Alex loves his family and is thankful that his mother and his sisters are so supportive of him. Alex’s brother is a professional triathlete. He lists his father as the most influential person in his sporting career.
In addition to being good-lucking and athletic, Alex also appears to have brains to go with the brawn. He’s an MBA student at Columbia, class of 2023, and graduated from Cornell University, with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
